A summary of the third annual OAA Demographic Survey is now posted on the OAA Website.
Administered by research firm Stratcom, this voluntary and anonymous survey was first launched in 2021 to collect race-based and other identity-relevant aggregated data of those with OAA status. The goal is to provide a means for measuring progress as the Association works to better address equity, diversity, and inclusion in the architecture profession (as outlined in the Strategic Plan) and develop programs and initiatives.
Members and those with OAA status were encouraged to participate in the survey during the annual renewal period. Overall, results from the 2023 survey remain fairly consistent with those of 2022—but the data continues to remain useful for showing long-term changes in both demographics as well as feelings of inclusion within the architectural profession.
